The Miss Peru´ organization hosted the coronation ceremony for the 2022 edition on 14th June 2022 where the top 6 finalists competed for the national crown. At the end of the event finale, Tatiana Calmell was crowned Miss International Peru´ 2022. She succeeds Miss International Peru´ 2019 María José Barbis.

Tatiana Calmell is the 27-year-old model and actress who was also one of the most experienced contestants in beauty pageants. She was in the only season of ‘Peru Next Top Model’ in 2013 and was also part of the cast of the Peruvian soap opera ‘Princesas’.

Tatiana Calmell also wants to bring focus on mental health which she believes is one of the issues that deserves the most attention, especially as a result of the pandemic, which has affected the mood of so many people. “I must say that I have experienced it myself, I have also been part of the pandemic, I have also suffered, I have also had a bad time, and I think it is a moment of much reflection to live in the present and today,” Calmell said.

Also at the finale, Alessia Rovegno was crowned Miss Perú 2022 and Valeria Flórez was crowned Nuesta Latina Universal Peru 2022. The newly crowned queens will represent Peru at the upcoming editions of Miss Universe and Nuestra Latina Universal pageants.

In 2019, Miss International Peru´ 2019 María José Barbis represented her country at Miss International 2019 and with her stellar performance, she was awarded Miss International America crown.
