The Miss Perú organization hosted the coronation ceremony of Miss Perú 2022 pageant on 14th June 2022, where the top 6 finalists competed for the national crown. At the end of the event, Alessia Rovegno was crowned as the new queen and will represent the country at Miss Universe 2022.

The 24-year-old model and businesswoman is one of the daughters of actress Bárbara Cayó and businessman Lucho Rovegno, one of Perú’s most influential and artistic families, and she now aims to shine in the music industry with her own light. The diva is a model and singer, working as a model in New York, but she is developing her career as a singer in Lima, Perú.

The Latino Hispanic beauty stands 178 cm tall and is definitely a strong and promising delegate to represent Perú at an international platform such as Miss Universe. She has an international impact, poise, beauty, solid social work and English. She definitely has the talent and all the characteristics to become an international beauty queen.

Alessia, daughter of actress and singer Bárbara Cayo, also appeared before international agents to become a Victoria's Secret model. The whole Cayo family is filled with accomplished and talented women and thus, Alessia definitely does not lag behind in making a successful career for herself.

Apart from the title crown, Tatiana Calmell was crowned Miss International Peru 2022 and Valeria Flórez was crowned  Nuesta Latina Universal Peru 2022. The newly crowned queens will represent Peru at the upcoming editions of Miss International and Nuestra Latina Universal pageants.

Last year, Yely Rivera represented Perú at Miss Universe 2021 in Eilat, Israel, where she gave a stellar performance but failed to secure a placement. Alessia will now prepare for her international stint and will represent Perú at Miss Universe 2022, the 71st Miss Universe pageant scheduled to be held later this year.
