At the splendid finale of Miss Universe Sweden 2017, held on 18th June 2017 at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm, concluded with the crowning of Lina Ljungberg as Miss International Sweden 2017. Lina succeeds Miss International Sweden 2016 Maria Taipaleenmäki and will represent Sweden at the Miss International 2017 pageant.
20-year-old Lina hails from Östergötland and is all set to travel to Tokyo to compete at Miss International 2017 pageant. At the same pageant, Frida Maria Fornander was crowned as the Miss Universe Sweden 2017 and will now represent Sweden at Miss Universe 2017 pageant. Lina Ljungberg was crowned Miss International Sweden 2017 and will now represent Sweden at the Miss International 2017 pageant. Camilla Fogdestedt was crowned Miss Earth Sweden 2017 and will represent Sweden at the Miss Earth 2017 pageant.
Miss International (Miss International Beauty or The International Beauty Pageant) is an annual international beauty pageant which is aimed at promoting “Love Peace and Excitement to the World”. It was initiated in United States, in Long Beach, California in 1960. In the year 1968-1970 the pageant was held in Japan memorializing the Osaka World Exposition. For 1971 and 1972, it was held in Long Beach again, but after 1972, the pageant has been held in Japan, and the pre-contest events are held in China.
