Uganda made a splendid comeback in Miss International 2019 after ten years as Evelyn Namatovu was adjudged the second runner-up at the coronation night. It was a double win for the country as Evelyn Namatovu Kironde also won the Swimsuit competition at Miss International 2019. She definitely raised her country’s flag high.
Adding another feather to her cap, Evelyn was just bestowed the honor of being received by His excellency Kazuaki Kameda, the Japanese ambassador to Uganda in Kampala to din with him and his family at his residence. The stunning beauty took to her social media to reveal her emotions in a post captioned, “Many thanks to H.E. Kazuaki Kameda, the Japanese Ambassador to Uganda who hosted me and the Miss International Uganda team to dine at his residence in Kampala. It was such a great honor.”
Evelyn was also joined by Monica Akech, the national director of Uganda for Miss International. Later on, she was assisted by Mrs Kameda, the ambassador’s wife, for a kimono experience. For the Ugandan beauty, it was such an enriching Japanese cultural experience for her in her home country. Miss International Organization also posted the news as they posted, “His Excellency Ambassador Kazuaki Kameda of the Japanese Embassy in the Republic of Uganda received our Miss International 2019 2nd Runner-up Evelyn Namatovu at the official residence in Kampala.”
Congratulations to Evelyn for being bestowed with such an honor.
