Miss International Uganda organization, through their official social media, announced their official representative to compete at the 2023 edition of Miss International to be held in Japan this month.
Emily Hope Muwanguzi, 23 years of age, has been designated as Miss International Uganda 2023. She is currently pursuing health studies with the hopes of becoming a service provider in the medical sector, and also works part-time as a customer service agent.
As a national titleholder, Emily is passionate about SDG #4 which focuses on Quality Education. She is pioneering supporting the education fund of 21 students under Shine a Light Organization with the help of volunteers and hopes to increase the support to wider areas in Uganda.
As Miss International Uganda 2023, Emily will also work on getting attention to the plight of quality education of children in her country Uganda. “I carry the strength of my forefathers with me, and I symbolize more than just the beautiful Pearl of Africa. But also the countless women, children, and men around the world who are working to bring about change in their communities. I represent educators, health care professionals, labourers, and anybody else who has a beneficial impact on their communities”, she quotes.
Miss International 2023, the 61st edition of Miss International, is scheduled to be held at the Yoyogi Gymnasium No. 2 in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan on 26th October 2023 where Miss International 2022 Jasmin Selberg of Germany will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
