Beauty Talks with Miss International Uzbekisten 2019 Tamila Khodjaeva

Tamila Khodjaeva (Pseudonym: Tamila Sparrow) is all set to represent Uzbekistan in Miss International 2019 as she was recently appointed Miss International Uzbekistan 2019. The 27-year-old diva is a Prague-based model and an aspiring singer. She has completed her bachelor’s degree in the field of management in water resources. Uzbekistan is all set to debut in the pageant under her delegation.

Before she begins to prepare for her stint in Miss International, she talks about her dreams, ambitions and guilty pleasures in an exclusive interview with Angelopedia.

Q. How does it feel to be Miss International Uzbekistan 2019 and now a delegate of Miss International 2019?

Being Miss International delegate for me is something unbelievable. I dreamt to join biggest world pageant but almost gave up with this idea due to some regulation reasons. And now It's like I crossed the line of my dreams and standing at the edge of rock ready to jump into this ocean. That's how it feels. And I'm going to be the first brave one from my country ever. This is a great responsibility and enormous platform to represent the culture and me personally.

Q. What inspired you to the world of pageantry?

It's that you actually don't refer to pageantry in normal life. I have been spending my life looking for myself and trying to understand what I want in this world. I always wanted to be spotted, always  wanted to stand out, always wanted to prove to myself I can be bigger, that I currently am. I realised that I'm much better in model career and performing arts, where I can speak or sing. All of these features once combined and showed up in form of a possibility to join my first world beauty pageant Miss Global.

Q. How would you like to represent yourself at the international stage of Miss International 2019?

I would like to show my true personality and openness. My values I raised and positively fierce flame burning inside. I want people to know - I'll never give up and always make a step forward even if I’m bumped off, once I’ll stand up.

Q. Since it is the debut of Uzbekistan in Miss International, how much would it mean to win the coveted title?

The most popular answer is “For me it will mean the world”. Though I would rather say that for me it will mean simply happiness I brought something good to my country where I grew up, let it be known by the rest of the world, because a lot of people never heard about it. It will be a contribution to the country's history and I hope perception of pageant there will be changed in a good way.

Q. Who is your role model, if any, and what values of his or her do you wish you could inculcate in your own life, and teach the next generation?

My role model is a person who actually is a well-known relationship couch - Mila Levchuk. I read all of her articles, her book, video-lessons. She is the one who created her own way to provide useful information, because she has teacher education. Her philosophy of women’s dignity and self-love is so close to me that she was probably the only one who let me understand myself and understand how many bad scenarios I had in the past. I love her idea of not criticizing yourself and others, but instead making compliments.  And she’s not born perfect, she had the same struggles years ago, which she told about.

Q. What is the one thing that keeps you going and inspires you to be the best version of yourself?

The progress. Occasionally, when I met some higher obstacle I might got scared or giving up. But every time I reminded myself - I passed so much, I made huge progress, I was scared before, but I succeeded, why must it be an exception this time? Wherever you feel upset or consider you cannot do anything - turn around and watch yourself even a year ago. Even if you fail, you won’t regret you missed this opportunity

Q. Would you like to share your most special childhood memory with us?

When I was around 5 years old I had a sticker comic book where you put your stickers you collected. This made a story inside to be complete. I remember they were sold  in packs of several pieces. My parents told me to put my comic book on a specific place and left uncovered in order some mystery wizard could notice it and gift me those stickers. I believed in this rule and each time I left this journal overnight, next morning I found new stickers on the top! You cannot imagine how I strongly believed in this magic and how happy I was because it worked out.

Q. What or who empowers you to be yourself and work hard every day?

Besides the couch I mentioned, I am inspired by all the people who are living their lives and do something instead of complaining and doing nothing. They are some of my friends, some couches as well. Recently when we had charity mission with Miss Global royal court in Bulgaria , we visited 3 orphanages in different cities. And nearly all the kids were passionate about studies or had some talents and goals. Besides, they have good pure hearts.. It really inspires to keep on going.

Q. What is the one thing you can label as your guilty pleasure?

I love sleeping. Seriously. Especially when I had a lack of sleep for a certain time. But even in my normal days, I love to have an extra nap minutes, which makes me after to get ready quickly and sometimes to be a bit late.

Q. If you could be invisible for a day, how would you like to spend it?

I would jump in to airplane which is heading somewhere to Caribbean sea. My dream is to travel there, maybe to Jamaica or Dominican republic. No matter if my “invisible day” ends and I’ll stay there. It’s going to be paradise trap.

Q. We’re sure that this competition is another milestone in your life. What is that one thing that you ultimately want to achieve?

Exactly, the pageant is one milestone from the list, that is why  I don’t have an ultimate goal to achieve. Because I want to move in the direction I chose as far as possible, because each time you reach something you establish a new task. They say, happiness or life is a journey, not a destination. So paradoxically my ultimate goal is to keep going to the goal, keep the track.

Q. If you are granted three wishes right now, what would you ask for?

1. To travel without a limit and borders everywhere I want as long as I need.

2. To live in my own newly constructed apartment with modern but cosy design with good view and good infrastructure.

3. To become a successful contestant in Eurovision.

Q. Lastly, is there any message that you would like to give to your fans of Angelopedia?

Dear readers, I hope you enjoyed this small talk. I would like to wish you inner harmony a strong belief in yourselves. Dare to dream!Dare to make baby steps to make them come true!

Sincerely,

Yours Miss Global 2018 2nd RU and Miss International 2019 Uzbekistan, Tamila
