Maria Andrea Abesamis aka Aya  Abesamis from Pasig City was crowned first runner-up at the grand coronation night of Binibining Pilipinas 2019 held at the Smart Araneta Colesium, Quezon City. Maria Andrea Abesamis is the daughter of Miss Universe 1984 3rd Runner-Up Desiree Verdadero and husband JB Abesamis.

This diva’s pageant journey has finally come to an end and has ended beautifully with a crown on her head. Aya is 27 years old and cannot take part in any more pageants as she has reached the maximum age of participating in a pageant. She has also been a part of Professional Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP). Her journey throughout has been beautiful, commendable and graceful.

Aya was also a part of Binibining Pilipinas 2018 as last year she could only make it to the top 25 but this year she in the end stood as the first runner-up of Binibining Pilipinas 2019. She was already in the favourites because of her exemplary performance in pre-pageant competitions. Aya stood out in specifically two pre pageant activities which included National costume competition and the Annual Parade of Binibining Pilipinas 2019.

Aya is happy with what she got. After all, it is a leap from her Binibining Pilipinas 2018 performance. This beauty has awed many with her looks and grace, her journey has been very progressive throughout Binibining Pilipinas 2018 and 2019.
