Miss Iran organization, through their official social media, announced the appointment of Miss Iran 2022 Dr. Mahrou Ahmadi as the official Miss Earth Iran 2022. Ahmadi has become the second Miss Earth Iran and will represent her country at Miss Earth 2022.

Dr. Mahrou Ahmadi is 24 years of and the first delegate from Iran to participate in the live edition of Miss Earth. Miss Earth Iran 2021 Hima Zaker, the first-ever Miss Earth Iran, joined the virtual edition during the COVID-19.

Iran is currently facing the tragic loss of a young woman named Mahsa Amini. Dr. Mahrou Ahmadi, through her reign, promises to be the voice of the women on the international stage. She quoted, “I stand with the women of Iran. This is for us. I want to thank my family, all of you, and [Miss Iran] for giving me this title.”

“I am now an ambassador of Iran. I will always represent you and I’ll be your voice upon the world, in every journey and endeavor”, she added. Mahrou was born in Tehran and is a herbal medicine and medicine graduate. She is currently pursuing pharmacy at the University of Istanbul.

The finale of Miss Earth 2022 will be held from 24th October 2022 to 27th November 2022 in the Philippines. This year's edition is themed “ME Loves Fauna" to emphasize the importance of caring for animal life in addition to its core mission which is environmental protection and preservation. At the end of the event finale, Miss Earth 2021 Destiny Wagner will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
