Miss Iraq 2017 concluded with the crowning of a beautiful winner, Vian Amer Noori Sulaimani on 25th May 2017 at the Babylon Warwick Hotel (Gilgamesh Hall) in Baghdad. A total of 15 contestants competed for the coveted title this year. The Kurdish beauty, Vian Amer Noori Sulaimani is the new Miss Iraq 2017.The Miss Iraq now plans to return and debut to some of the International pageants such as Miss Universe.

The stunner hails from the city of Sulaymaniyah but presently works for an insurance/investment company in Baghdad. The scintillating beauty looked amazing in a mauve coloured evening gown with a beautiful smile to add that needed magic. At the same pageant, Masty Hama (Miss Halabja Hawraman) was crowned as 1st Runner-up, Marina Roqan (Miss Rusafa-East Baghdad) was crowned as 2nd Runner-up, and Sara Abdulwahid (Miss Erbil) was crowned as 3rd Runner-up respectively.

The event was full of glamour and all the finalists made it look spectacular. Various performances by noted singers and performers made the event a success. We wish the pretty winner all the best for future endeavors and may she make her country proud.

The prestigious Miss Iraq was founded in 1947 and in 1972 the country participated in Miss Universe history. Wijdan Sulyman was crowned Belle of Iraq in 1972 and is the very first known Iraqi woman to win a national beauty title. She was also the first Iraqi pageant winner to participate in Miss Universe beauty contest.
