In an unfortunate turn of events, Diana Tashimbetova will not be representing Kazakhstan at Miss Universe 2022. She took to her official social media to unveil the details of the whole issue surrounding her withdrawal from the 71st edition of the international pageant.
The issue was, according to her, with the management of Miss Kazakhstan, who did not warn her that she would face terrible consequence. “At the moment of the coronation I was inspired thinking "is it really, thanks to my hard work, that I have been able to represent Kazakhstan with dignity on the world level?" But alas...”, she wrote.
The organizers and the management of Miss Kazakhstan are to be blamed for her current position according to the beauty queen. They were unable to provide her with the proper training and refused the funding despite the fact that she already purchased a visa, tickets and sewed a few evening dresses with her own money.
“The preparation was supposed to bring me pleasure and positive emotions, but it only brought me tears. Because from morning till late at night I was preparing mentally and physically for the contest all alone. I am blessed with my mother and family who motivated me to keep going. I agree that not everyone can manage it in such short time, but despite that, I was ready to overcome all difficulties and do my best”, she quoted.
But the organizers, in turn, did not take responsibility for Diana. They officially announced that they refuse to send her to Miss Universe because they do not have time to prepare her, even though they have already officially introduced her as a participant from Kazakhstan.
“After this I asked the management of @missqazaqstan.official "could you provide me with a documented proof that I will participate in 2023, to which they said 'no'. And the phrase "you are not a worthy participant and we do not want to deal with you" came to it all. Apparently, because I did not keep quiet and defended my rights to participate in Miss Universe. Everyone must be responsible for their outspoken words! After all, it was announced throughout Kazakhstan that I will be sent under full organization and financial support. And I was left halfway without doing any work. We need a management that will treat beauty contests with full seriousness and responsibility. Total disappointment in this project. They took away a dream when you're one step away from it”, she concluded.
What are you thoughts on the whole situation?
