The 21st edition of Miss Kazakhstan is back to crown the new queen of Kazakhstan for the title of Miss World Kazakhstan 2018 to represent in Miss World 2018. Have a look at the contestants vying for the title here.
28 contestants have been selected as finalists by the national pageant organization to compete in Miss Kazakhstan 2017 and one of them will get the chance for Miss World 2018. While 18 girls were crowned regionally, this time around there was a slight change in the competition with the introduction of Top-10 INSTAGRAM-casting.
According to this selection procedure, ladies from all over Kazakhstan published their photos on Instagram with their details and #WanttobeMissKazakhstan2017 and then after 3 weeks, the pageant organization declared the names of 10 ladies who made it as the finalists of the competition.

The contest has already kicked off with the contestants gathering at Astana, where they are preparing for the finals. They took part in the first photo shoot in decorations and crown, then they will take part in charitable and social events.
For the first time, the winner of Miss Kazakhstan, in addition to the main prize fund - title, crown, trip to Miss World and five million tenge, will receive a cash certificate for shopping from the world luxury brands. The winner will also receive a photo session with renowned photographer Mareta Keligova, whose work decorates the covers of popular glossy magazines. Her portfolio includes cooperation with Victoria Lopyreva, Sasha Savelieva (the "Fabrika" group), famous fashion bloggers and models.
The coronation night of the beauty contest will be held on March 31, 2018, in the Moscow Palace of Peace and Accord where the reigning Gulbanu Azimkhanova Miss Kazakhstan 2016 will crown her successor.
