14 Mar 2018 | Angelique Reyes

Miss South Africa 2017 Adè van Heerden has suffered minor injuries from a car crash that happened on Sunday in Randpark Ridge in Johannesburg.  She was driving the sponsored car (Nissan X Trail) she received when she was crowned Miss SA after Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters became Miss World at the time of the accident.

The accident was confirmed by the official Miss South Africa organization through twitter. They also informed that there were no fatalities or serious injuries. Adè van Heerden was travelling alone and suffered minor bruises.

Miss SA Adè van Heerden feels “blessed and obliged” to have escaped the accident with only minor injuries. Taking to her social media page on Monday night‚ Adè reflected on the shocking incident.

“Feeling so blessed and grateful for my life this morning. Yesterday I was involved in a very horrible accident and through God’s protection, managed to escape with only a few bruises.”

She also thanked those close to her for the love and support she’s received since the accident.

“Thank you to my Miss [SA] family for looking after me and taking care of everything I’ve needed the past 12 hours.

“This has reminded me of how special and important our relationships are and that we should tell people how much we love them regularly. At the end of the day you won’t be remembered for your achievements‚ but for how you made people feel. Celebrate life and your loved ones every day.”

We wish Miss South Africa 2017 Adè van Heerden a quick and healthy recovery and also hope to see her kicking back to her routine soon.
