At the conclusion of much awaited finale of Miss Lebanon 2016 held on October 22nd 2016 at Casino du Liban located in Maameltein, Jounieh, Sandy Tabet was crowned as the new Miss Lebanon. She defeated 14 other gorgeous beauties competing for the crown in the running to succeed Valerie Abou Chacra, the Miss Lebanon 2015.
Sandy and will now represent Lebanon in Miss World 2016, the final whereof is scheduled for December 20th in Washington, USA. Last year, Valerie Abou Chacra became the Top 5 finalist at the finals of Miss World 2015 held in China.
Tracy Rizkallah, who had immense support from fans and was a popular choice for the title, made it to Top 5, but could not manage to win the title.
Other placeholders at the finals were Maribelle Tarabay (first runner-up), Andréa Haikal (second runner-up), Tracy Rizkallah (third runner-up) and Hala Merheb (fourth runner-up). Top 9 finalists also included Frédérica Abdo, Norma Darwish, Rouba Daccache and Michèlle Hajal.
