Miss Lebanon organization organized the finale of the 2022 edition of the national pageant yesterday night at the Forum de Beyrouth where Yasmina Zaytoun was crowned Miss Lebanon 2022 as she became the official representative of Lebanon at Miss Universe 2022. If the pageants don’t overlap, Yasmina will compete at Miss World 2022 as well.

Yasmina Zaytoun hails from Kfarchouba, Lebanon and stands 5 feet 5 inches tall. In 2020, she entered Notre Dame University-Louaize in Zouk Mosbeh, Lebanon to pursue a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Miss Lebanon Maya Reaidy, who was crowned in 2018, passed the title to her successor, bringing her almost four-year-reign to an end.

Also at the end of the event finale, Maya Abou El-Hassan finished as first runner-up, Jacintha Rashed finished as the second runner up, and Lara Hraoui and Dalal Hoballah were voted in fourth and fifth runners-up respectively.

Miss USA 2010 Rima Fakih is back as the national director of Miss Universe Lebanon and she officially announced during the finale’s live stream that Lebanon is back at Miss Universe this year. If the Miss Universe and Miss World pageants overlap, then the first runner-up will be sent to represent the country at Miss World 2022.

The pageant was delayed by years of crisis in Lebanon. This edition featured 17 candidates from various cities and regions who wowed a judging panel consisting of music composer Michel Fadel, influencer Karen Wazen, General Manager of IP Studios Mohamad Yehya, Miss World 2022 Karolina Bielawska, General Manager of Al-Nahar and Al-Nahar Al-Arabi Nayla Tueni, Caracala dance theatre director Ivan Caracala, TV host Hilda Khalife, and Miss Lebanon 1993 Samaya Chedrawi, who was on hand to represent the Ministry of Tourism.
