07 Sep 2020 | Angelique Reyes

Diane Febvay was crowned Miss Lorraine 2020 on the evening of 5th September 2020 at Remiremont cultural centre and will be representing the province at Miss France 2021 competition. She succeeded Miss Lorraine 2019 Ilona Robelin for the title.

Hailing from Piblange in Moselle, Diane is 19-years-old and stands 177 cm tall and is a student in the second year of law school after having obtained her baccalaureate with high honours last year. The diva dedicated her win to her mother whom she lost just a day before the competition. She explained, “I assume that life is such that it will forge me. I always go to the end of things. My title, it is for my mother, explained the young woman, still devastated by the death of her mother. She encouraged me, she was super happy for me, even though for about seven months she was ravaged by the disease. I know where she is from, she sees it all.”

First Runner-up: Elsa Dalle Mese

Second Runner-up: Emma Nardella

Third Runner-up: Jade Perlot

Fourth Runner-up: Morgane Schimpff

Diane explained that she loves fashion, makeup, trying on beautiful dresses, and she believes that being a beauty pageant queen is more than a physical presence on stage but it’s an attitude; a presence that matters. With her crown and her scarf, the young woman intends to support sick children, as explained by our colleagues. “2020 has allowed us to review our values ??and our expectations”, she explained. The diva’s dream is simple, “It is to succeed in my studies, to build a family, to be serene and to succeed in whatever I undertake,” she adds. Diane’s family was present to support her and applauded her for the courage she showed up on-stage. One of her relative who was at the coronation ceremony stated, "We are there for her, it is a source of pride, a happiness. She deserves this light. She is very courageous, she remains smiling, very natural, always turned towards others. Always the others before her. "

Diane also explained that since she lost her parents, she always finds herself alone with her grandmother but after winning the crown it seemed like she is not alone. The people of her extended family have been very kind, generous, and supportive towards her beauty pageant career and the people of her community have also shown support for her which makes her motivated to perform her best at the finale night in December.

Congratulations to the queen!
