She is not new to this sparkly world of pageantry as she earlier won the title of Miss Louisiana in 2015 and went on to represent her state in Miss America 2012. After winning the title of Miss Louisiana 2015, Lauren took a year off from her studies to fulfil her duties as hostess for the state and spokesperson for prominent state organizations.

Ecstatic about her win, she said, “It was my fifth time competing and I went into it knowing I will never compete for this title again. It was a now or never moment and I think that came across. Every time I was on stage I was living for that moment. Thank you for all your support and love my people, this is for you.”

At the same event, Lindsey Conque was crowned Miss Louisiana Teen USA 2018 and she will now represent her state in Miss Teen USA 2018 to be held next year.
