The 70th edition of Miss Louisiana USA, i.e. Miss Louisiana USA 2023, was held on 4th February 2023 at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center, Metairie, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana where Sylvia Masters was crowned the new queen. She will now represent Louisiana at Miss USA 2023.
Sylvia Masters succeeds and was crowned by Miss Louisiana USA 2022 KT Scannell. She is 27 years of age and a news anchor and accomplished musician from Houma. She is a graduate of Nicholls State University with a degree in mass communication and journalism. Sylvia is currently a morning anchor and reporter for KLFY News 10 in Lafayette covering news and events that affect Acadiana and Southwest Louisiana.

The newly crowned Miss Louisiana USA 2023 Sylvia Masters’ court included –
1st Runner-up – Josie Stephens
2nd Runner-up – Lexie Martin
3rd Runner-up – Trinitee Johnson
4th Runner-up – Ella Clark
Top 10 also included Alyssa Landry, Abby Cramond, Catherine Wooton, Taylor Sims (People’s Choice), Hannah Fontenot while Top 16 also included Bri Hunter, Taylor Witmeyer, Jade Thomas, Regan Martin, Jillian Elliot and Jasmine Baehr.

Also at the end of the event finale, Averi Bliss Crawford was crowned Miss Louisiana Teen USA 2023 as she became the official representative of Louisiana at Miss Teen USA 2023. She was also the winner of the Miss Photogenic award. Along with her, Julia Badinger, Condoleezza Semien, Madelyn Morgan and Addison Petry was adjudged first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively.
