The 61st edition of Miss Malta was held on 7th January 2024 in Malta where Cherise Spiteri was crowned Miss Malta 2024. Cherise is 21 years of age and a model, singer and dancer by profession. Along with winning the national title, Cherise also won Miss Personality 2024 and Best Photogenic Model 2024 awards.

On winning the Miss Malta 2024 crown, Cherise took to her official social media as she penned down her feelings in a post captioned, “Thrilled to be crowned Miss Malta 2024! My journey, like a black dress with silver stones, is a story of self-discovery and resilience. Thank you to the incredible Miss Malta team, family, and friends for the unwavering support. Congrats to all the amazing girls on this journey! Being a part of this extraordinary journey, representing the cherished locality of Kalkara, has been an absolute honor.”

“I am now entrusted with the title of Miss Malta, and I am eager to carry this responsibility with utmost dedication. Alongside the other remarkable contestants who made it to the Top Five ~ Miss Dingli, Miss Zurrieq, Miss Madliena, and Miss Xemxija - I am confident that we can collectively make a positive impact on both the general public and the contestants of the next edition of this contest. This experience has been transformative, and inspired me in ways I never imagined. I will hold the memories close to my heart for the rest of my life. To everyone who believed in me, a sincere and heartfelt Thank You”, she added.

Also at the finale, the Top 5 winners, apart from Cherise, were also awarded with national titles; Lexine Farrugia was crowned Miss Republic of Malta 2024, Alexia Cutajar was crowned Miss Tourism of Malta 2024, Yasemin Ertugrull was crowned Miss Grand Malta 2024 and Bordian Karolina was crowned Top Model Malta 2024.

The organization also awarded Top 5 Miss Malta Teen winners for 2024; Ihana Cauchi was crowned Miss Malta Teen 2024, Laura Bezzina was crowned Miss Republic of Malta Teen 2024, Zaida Azzopardi was crowned Miss Tourism of Malta Teen 2024, Shayanne Gauci was crowned Miss Maltese Beauty Malta 2024 and Kelsey was crowned Top Model Malta Teen 2024.
