The 69th edition of Miss Maryland USA was held on 25th July 2021 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, Rockville, Montgomery County where a whopping 103 contestants competed for the state crown and at the end of the event finale, Layilah Nasser was crowned Miss Maryland USA 2021. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Maryland USA 2020 Taelyr Robinson.

Layilah Nasser has now become the official delegate of Miss USA 2021 where she will be representing Maryland. Nasser hails from Montgomery Village, Maryland and has studied Psychology at Spelman College. The newly crowned Miss Maryland USA 2021 Layilah Nasser’s court includes –

1st Runner-up – Caitlyn Stupi

2nd Runner-up – Taylor Davis

3rd Runner-up – Christina Dinardo

4th Runner-up – Natalia Salmon

The Top 21 delegates included Faith Porter, Evelin Gutierrez, Alexis Becton, Niyah Martinez, Natalia Salmon, Kayla Morgan, Arielle King, Taylor Lokey, Erica Robertson, Caitlyn Stupi, Brianna Lopez, Keylin Perez, Amanda Bertholf, Shawna Melvin, Cassidy Lacey, Sara Ali, Christina Dinardo, Layilah Nasser, Preetcharn Saund, Taylor Davis, Lydia Frentsos.

Also at the finale, Maria Derisavi was crowned Miss Maryland Teen USA 2021 as she became the official representative of Maryland at Miss Teen USA 2021. She succeeds and was crowned by Heavyn McDaniels, Miss Maryland Teen USA 2020.

Last year, Miss Maryland USA 2020 Taelyr Robinson represented her state at Miss USA 2020 but unfortunately failed to place in the Top 20. Congratulations to the newly crowned queen!
