Miss Massachusetts USA 2022, the 71st edition of the state pageant, was held on 27th March 2022 at Burlington Marriott Hotel, Burlington, Massachusetts where seventy-seven contestants competed for the state crown. At the end of the event finale, Skarlet Ramirez was crowned Miss Massachusetts USA 2022 and became the official representative of the state at Miss USA 2022.

Skarlet Ramirez is of Dominican descent and lives in Lawrence. She attended Fitchburg State University in Fitchburg, Massachusetts where she earned her bachelor’s degree in professional communication with a minor in Romance languages. Skarlet is not new to the pageantry as she competed at Miss Massachusetts USA 2020 where she placed in Top 16. She competed at Miss Massachusetts USA 2021 where she placed in second runner-up. The newly crowned queen’s court includes –

1st Runner-up – Bailey Medeiros

2nd Runner-up – Judy Lin

3rd Runner-up – Meera Gupta

4th Runner-up – Samantha Vocatura

Top 16 also included Ashley Cunningham, Sectra Okundaye, Jordyn Murphy, Gabriela Taveras, Gabrielle Griffiths, Luara Dos Santos, Olivia Alexandra, Alexandra Maloney, Callie Shepherd, Katie Carlson, Celia Stafford and Taylor Ward. The special awards included Miss Congeniality which went to Taylor Ward (Hopkinton) and Miss Photogenic went to Callie Shepherd (Back Bay).

Also at the finale, Jillian Driscoll was crowned Miss Massachusetts Teen USA 2022 as she became the official representative of the state at Miss Teen USA 2022. Melissa Sapini, Avery Turner, Lauren Plank and Giovanna Ward were adjudged first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively.
