Miss Vermont USA 2022, the 71st edition of state pageant, was held on 27th March 2022 at Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center, Stowe, Vermont where seven delegates competed for the state crown. At the end of the event finale, Kelsey Golonka was crowned Miss Vermont USA 2022 as she became the official representative of Vermont at Miss USA 2022.

Kelsey Golonka hails from Montpelier and is 22 years of age. She is not new to the pageant world as she holds various titles under her belt; She is Miss Vermont Teen USA 2015 second runner-up, Miss Vermont Teen USA 2016 second runner-up, she won Miss Vermont Teen USA 2017 and represented Vermont at Miss Teen USA 2017 and finished in Top 15.

The newly crowned queen’s court includes –

1st Runner-up – Jenna Howlett

2nd Runner-up – Lexia Gillette

Also at the finale, Kelsey’s younger sister Kenzie won Miss Vermont Teen USA 2022 and became the official representative of Vermont at Miss Teen USA 2022. They made history as the first biological sisters who won the two titles in the same year.

The contestants who competed for Miss Vermont USA 2022 were Lexia Gillette (Bennington), Jenna Howlett (Bridgeport), Kathryn “Katy” Trahan (Huntington), Kelsey Golonka (Montpelier), Isabella Williams (Orwell), Halley Riley-Elliott (Proctor) and Cassandra Greene (South Champlain).
