Miss Mexico 2020 organization has commenced its search for the delegates of different provinces from across the country who will vie for the crown of Miss Mexico 2020 and the opportunity to represent Mexico in Miss World 2020. However, there has not been any official announcement regarding the date and venue of the event, the pageant fanatics presume it to be sometime in August/September 2020.
Alexa Muñiz Sanchez from Potosina was crowned Miss San Lusi Potosí 2019 in February 2020 and will be representing the state of San Lusi Potosí at the Miss Mexico 2020 pageant. Alexa is 24-years-old and stands 168cm tall. She is a graduate in Cosmetology and a student of Business Administration. Alexa is a professional makeup-artist and works as a model too.
The diva describes herself as an altruistic woman because she believes that an individual comes with a life purpose that aims to help and support the people. She is currently working hand in hand with a program in partnership called Integrame Down AC. It is an association dedicated to academic support and comprehensive development for people with Down syndrome. It is done through research, the implementation of workshops and the best therapeutic methods. The program is only focused on people with Down Syndrome, if not also provide support to anyone who approaches with a specific need. The main message of diva’s social project is that we are all different, however we must be treated with respect and always considering that we share the same rights.
‘It's all about Including, it's about Integrating.’ She explains.
She strongly believes that respect for others is something that is instilled in us from home and through Miss Mexico 2020 pageant which serves as a great platform this message could reach many people. She wants to create a sense of positive impact of solidarity, humanity and love to among each other’s and by reaching out to a mass audience this could be achieved. Alexa mentioned that she is also an entrepreneur and has a project that allows her to help Mexican artisans and she is very excited to work on that.
Alexa’s favourite hobbies are sports or any kind of physical activity, reading and dancing different dances, especially Hawaiian dance. The diva considers herself a very disciplined athlete, CrossFit training, 9 Round and she has participated in several Spartan. Alexa is a very strong delegate for the title because of her experience as well as the confidence she shows. For her experience Miss Mexico 2020 would her first ever international beauty pageant but since she is a professional makeup artist, she has worked for some of the renowned designers and photographers in Mexico who have taught and guided her to be a beauty queen which will help her ace her performance.
The diva has started to prepare for the competition as she has started to work on her on-stage walk, body postures, communication and interview skills. With her strong agenda to promote respect, and stop bullying among other physical and / or verbal aggressions that exist, she has a strong hold at the title of Miss Mexico 2020. She can turn out to be one of audience’s favourites in future once the pageant starts.
