The grand finale of Miss Minnesota USA 2019 was held on 25th November 2018 at the Ames Centre, Minnesota. The conclusion of the event saw the crowning of Catherine Stanley as the new winner. She will be represent Minnesota in Miss USA 2019 to be held next year. If she wins the national competition, she will have earned the right o represent the United States in Miss Universe 2019 next year.
Catherine is 22 years of age and is currently a pre-medical Biology Major student in Baylor University. She is no stranger to the pageant world as she competed in Miss Teen Minnesota USA 2014 where she represented Minnesota and won. She further went on to represent Minnesota in Miss Teen USA 2019 but was not able to secure a position in the finale.
A few days before the finale, Catherine took to her social media and posted a picture of her being crowned Miss Teen Minnesota USA 2014 and wrote, “Wow time flies. That girl doesn’t even look like me! Five years ago I was crowned Miss Minnesota Teen USA and this weekend I’ll be competing for the title of Miss Minnesota USA. I don’t know what I did to deserve the opportunity to be apart of such an amazing organization but I feel very (for the lack of a better word) blessed. This weekend five years ago absolutely changed my life in so many positive ways and so needless to say I’m PUMPED for this year’s competition.”
The new winner’s prior experience definitely helped her win the national title. She was crowned by Miss Minnesota USA 2018 Kalie Wright. Upon being asked what she would be advocating as the winner of Miss Minnesota USA 2019, she said she would devote all her energy into empowering women. Relating to the difficulties she herself has faced as a woman, Catherine says that she would love to help women going through similar difficulties.
Catherine was crowned by Miss Minnesota USA 2018 Kalie Wright. The event also saw the crowning of Miss Teen Minnesota USA 2019 Olivia Herbert. Olivia will be representing Minnesota in Miss Teen USA 2019. Congratulations and all the very best to both the winners.
