The event finale of Miss Virginia USA 2019 was held on 25th November 2018. At the conclusion of the event, Courtney Lynne Smits was crowned the new winner at the TCC Roper Theater in Norfolk. She has now earned the right to represent her state in Miss USA 2019. If Courtney wins the national competition, she will become the national representative of the United States in Miss Universe 2019.
Courtney Lynne Smits is 22 years of age and is currently working with the U.S. Army. Before that she was working with Greenwood Productions, Inc. Courtney is a huge fan of Harry Potter. She defeated 15 other contestants to emerge as the new winner and state representative in Miss USA 2019.
Courtney is no stranger to the pageant world as she was a participant in Miss Teen USA 2012 where she represented Georgia. She was placed in the Top 16 during the finale, but unfortunately was not able to go further into the competition.
Courtney was crowned by Miss Virginia USA 2018 Ashley Vollrath. Ashley represented Virginia in Miss USA 2018 this year but was not able to secure a position in the finale. The conclusion of Miss Virginia USA 2019 also saw the crowning of Miss Teen Virginia USA 2019 Morgan Duty. She will be representing her state in Miss Teen USA 2019.
