Laura had mentioned, “I am keen about running, swimming, horse riding but, nothing in competition. I think I don't really like it.” She is not new to the world of pageantry as she was elected Miss Lille 2016 and has worked hard to win the title in order to represent France at Miss Universe stage. The last Miss Nord-Pas de Calais to have won the Miss France election was Maëva Coucke in 2018 and she represented France at Miss Universe 2019 stage. Laura Cornillot is thinking of taking a break from her studies to devote herself to her physical and mental preparation. " You have to be well in your sneakers and have a good physique, obviously. We're going to work on it,” she explained.

On asking about if she feels any pressure with the title, Laura explained, “There is a little pressure, but it's a good pressure. And when it gets too difficult, I walk away, I take a step back and I ride a horse, it feels good to decompress. This year is the centenary, it's quite incredible. Winning the crown was not a dream but it is starting to be. On election night, I will try to highlight the simplicity, the authenticity of the people of the North. I will do my best to represent us.”  She is strong, confident, and focused towards winning.

Congratulations!
