The 65th edition of Miss Mississippi USA took place at Pearl River Resort in Choctaw, Neshoba County, Mississippi on 1st April 2023 where Sydney Russell was crowned Miss Mississippi USA 2023 as she became the official representative of Mississippi at Miss USA 2023.

Sydney Russell, on winning the state crown, took to her official social media as she wrote, “Grateful doesn’t even begin to describe the overwhelming emotion I had last night as I was crowned Miss Mississippi USA 2023! I am humbled to have been chosen from the incredible group of women that I had the privilege of getting to know these past few days. I hope to make each of you proud throughout my journey. I am beyond blessed for the love and support I have received thus far. A huge thank you to my family, friends, and sponsors who invested their time into helping me get this title. You all made this possible.”

The newly crowned Miss Mississippi USA 2023 Sydney Russell’s court included Maggie Ulmer, Maddi Lambert, Dana Wesley and Kaylee Brooke McCollum who were adjudged first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively.

Top 16 also included Arielle Hudson, Jessie Besanson, Malory Williams, Rylie Ozbirn, Connor Dowdell, Alexis Carter, Elishia Jones, Lacee Riddell, Erin Broadus, M’Tajia Altman and Jaycee Drew Janzen.

Also at the finale, Claire Ulmer was crowned Miss Mississippi Teen USA 2023 as she became the official representative of her state at Miss Teen USA 2023. Addison Carver, Caroline Ulmer, Lauryl Joyner and Isabella Nolen were adjudged first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively.
