The organization of Miss Mundo Argentina held a private virtual ceremony for Miss Mundo Argentina 2020 on 9th November 2020 where Amira Hidalgo was crowned as the winner and earned the opportunity to represent Argentina at Miss World 2020 stage. The diva was crowned by Miss World Argentina 2019 Judit Grnja at the end of the event.
Hailing from Bella Vista province, Amira is 23-years-old, has her degree in journalistic communication at the Argentine Catholic University. She was awarded a scholarship to do a Master's in Investigative Journalism at USAL by Ninawa Daher Foundation. She started working as a national news caster at the age of 20 alongside Santo Biasatti. She is very excited to take over the crown duties as Miss World Argentina 2020 and has started to prepare for the finale event to make the people of Argentina proud.
Amira describes herself as transparent, genuine, independent, and proactive woman who aspires to do so much in the world which includes being a positive role model for the people of her community. Asking about how she entered the beauty pageant, she explained, " I entered 'Miss World Argentina' online. In 2017 when I was working in the conduction of Crónica HD together with Santo Biasatti, he alerted me on social media and told me that he found the profile to represent our country in the competition. it was impossible to accommodate my schedules to insert myself into this new field. But this year, as a result of the pandemic, I said 'let's see how this contest is going to take place.' So, I started to investigate, and what 'Miss World Argentina' has and what I highlight is the social project. In my case it is helping canteens in the San Miguel area, to be at the service of the most vulnerable people in my district, especially those who need it most.”
Amira had also added that for her being a representative of Argentina at international stage is when she stops being Amira Hidalgo and became Argentina. She is very thankful for the organization for believing in her and excited for the new duties that she will be taking over. She stated, “The crown is not mine but belongs to all Argentines to highlight the integral beauty that Argentine women have. " The diva believes that if someone wants to achieve something in their lives, they should keep working for it and never give up because your efforts and hard work pays off.
The diva is strong, powerful, and focused towards one goal which is to make a good use of the platform given to her for the benefit of the community. She explained that she likes a good and constructive criticism which helps her to finesse her work and would work on that if suggested by someone. She is hardworking, and determined to make the people of Argentina proud at Miss World 2020 stage.
