10 Nov 2020 | Ana Walia

Sasha Lombardi was adjudged as the second runner-up at the finale of Miss World Canada 2020 held on 7th November 2020 after which she has earned the opportunity to represent Canada at Miss Supranational 2020 stage. She is a teacher and holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Cultural and Environmental Anthropology. She is also a member of the Royal Ontario Museum Advisory Council.

Sasha was the Canadian ambassador to Miss Eco International, founded by the LTCP-UN Project. Sasha has integrated her environmental platform into her advocacy work through her initiative 'The Givers Movement', a link and pathway to non-profit organizations that match the skills and resources individuals have to offer. She has had the opportunity to not only share her experiences, but to learn from our future generation of leaders and change-makers across the globe. She is motivated by the phrase “keep smiling”, which means that even the smallest gestures do make an impact.

Sasha is not new to the world of pageantry she was adjudged as the second runner-up at Miss Universe Canada 2018, and was also as Miss Eco Canada. She was also a part of Miss Universe Canada 2019 where she was highly appreciated for her performance. She has dedicated herself to partnering with non-profit organizations, and has volunteered all over the world.

Sasha understands that everyone has their own preference in how they give, and one of her most memorable moments was bringing her best friend to volunteer and clean up a littered field. Sasha is proud to have integrated her environmental platform into her advocacy. She aims to engage young people with environmental issues and sustainable development.

Through school visits and presentations, Sasha has had the opportunity to not only share her experiences, but to learn from our future generation of leaders, trailblazers, influencers, and change-makers. As a mentor, she also uses her platform to conduct workshops and presentations with young girls, encouraging them to recognize their self-worth and individuality.

She is very strong, focused, and determined to represent Canada at Miss Supranational 2020 stage and is very grateful for the organization’s belief in her. She is going to be a strong contender for the title. With her experience and assurance, she could be a potential winner for the title as well who would use the platform to change the society for a positive and good tomorrow.

Also, at the finale, Svetlana Mamaeva was crowned Miss World Canada 2020 and became an official candidate to represent Canada at Miss World 2020. She succeeds Miss World Canada 2019 Naomi Colford for the title.
