Miss Nederland organization, through her official social media, announced that Netherlands will be withdrawing their participation at Miss Universe 2024. Monica Van Ee, the national director of Miss Nederland, announced the news today, 19th February 2024.

The reason stated by Monica is the replacement of a large part of employees at the headquarters in New York by the new collaboration under JKN group. “We have no known contact there at the moment. All the people we always kept in contact with are gone. I am not going to send anyone there without supervision, because we have to make sure that everything is well arranged”, she quoted.

However, even without a Miss Universe participation, there will be a Miss Nederland contest as the organization will continue with 10 ten finalists and put on a finale show at Studio21. The winner will be crowned by Miss Nederland 2023 Rikkie Valerie Kolle who represented Netherlands at Miss Universe 2023.

“We are looking forward to our casting on March 23! And we really hope to still welcome the young women. If a casting participant wants to participate solely to be on the Miss Universe stage, she has the option to withdraw from the competition. All ladies have been informed of this”, the organization announced.
