The finale of Miss Nepal 2022 was held last Saturday, i.e. 18th June 2022 at Godavari, Lalitpur organized by The Hidden Treasure. At the end of the event finale, Dr. Sareesha Shrestha was crowned Miss Nepal Earth 2022 as she became the official representative of Nepal at Miss Earth 2022.
Dr. Sareesha succeeds and was crowned by Miss Nepal Earth 2021 Supriya Shrestha. Sareesha is a doctor, TV Presenter and a model by profession. She is a health advocate and the founder of ‘Sahayatri’, an organization that works for the health empowerment of women and children as their Sahayatris/ companions. She also holds the titles of Miss Rotaract and Miss Newa.
Sareesha also works as an ambassador of Canopy Nepal, a non-profit organization that is working towards challenging traditional thoughts on education, creating accessibility of education & promoting interactive learning. With all of her accomplishments and her strong advocacy, Sareesha has already become a strong contender for the Miss World crown.
Also at the finale, Smarika Sharma won the title of Miss Beauty with a Purpose, Mamata Dhakal was awarded Miss Photogenic, Ganga Gurung Farmasi won the Face of 2022, Rose Kandel won Miss Beautiful Hair and Sophia Shrestha was named Miss Glamor.
Apart from Sareesha, Priyanka Rani Joshi was crowned Miss Nepal World 2022 and Nancy Khadka was crowned Miss Nepal International 2022 as they became the official representatives of Nepal at the upcoming editions of Miss World and Miss International respectively.
Miss Nepal Earth 2021 Supriya Shrestha represented Nepal at Miss Earth 2021 but she failed to place in the Top 20. The country is yet to pioneer its win at Miss Earth. Congratulations to the winners.
