22 year old Lauren York has been crowned as Miss Nevada USA 2017 and will have the opportunity to represent her state Nevada at the prestigious Miss USA 2017 to be held in the month of June 2017. York was very delighted when she won the title of Miss Nevada USA and said, "I feel incredible, and it’s taken me 10 years of pageants to get to this point. I’ve been working at it a really long time. I didn’t win but never gave up hope, and now it’s finally happened. Going to Miss USA has been a dream of mine for a really long time."

The beauty talked about her and said that having the crown feels simply incredible. York said she was nervous when she got down to the finals, but was more nervous during the prelims. So that nervousness helped her prepare more for the finals. York said she truly enjoyed the moment when she was finally crowned.

York works as a full-time print and runway model all over the country and has moved to Las Vegas a year ago from California, and she is in love with the city — especially now when she’s going to represent the state at the Miss USA 2017.

Lauren’s modeling goals include walking the runways of New York and Miami Fashion weeks. She has already been approached for modeling work by Paul Marciano of Guess, who helped launch the careers of Claudia Schiffer, Eva Herzigova and the late Anna Nicole Smith. She is also an avid beauty blogger and enjoys building her brand and sharing her experiences on lifestyle, fashion, and beauty.

The beauty takes pride in being fearless and standing up for what is right, and she likes to take bold risks in her style and career. Her passion only has allowed her to reach her goals without reservation, including achieving her dream of competing on the Miss USA stage.

Lauren is a Victim Impact Speaker and advocate for the organization Mother against Drunk Driving (MADD), and hopes her story post accident can bring awareness to the problem of driving under the influence. Lauren is inspired by women having a balanced career, and she believes that being confidently beautiful is embodying your own individual worth and value, and seeing beyond societal ideals.

Lauren enjoys traveling and she has recently spent three weeks in South Korea and her favorite book is “You Are Special” by Max Lucado.
