Sarah White crowned Miss New Hampshire 2022 for Miss America 2023

Sarah White of Hooksett was crowned Miss New Hampshire 2022 as she was awarded the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Program title at Pinkerton Academy’s Stockbridge Theatre. White succeeds and was crowned by Miss New Hampshire 2021 Ashley Marsh and will represent her state at Miss America 2023.

Along with the title, White also received a $15,000 scholarship. White competed as Miss Winnipesaukee and is a graduate student at Franklin Pierce University seeking a master’s in nursing and leadership. She earned her bachelor’s degree in health science with a minor in psychology from Franklin Pierce in 2020.

 

 

White performed a Tap Dance at the finals night and her platform was to promote Mental Health through awareness, education, resources and creating personal connections. On winning the state crown, she took to her official social media as she wrote, “Hello everyone! My name is Sarah White and I am elated, humbled and honored to be your Miss New Hampshire 2022. I am so grateful for the overwhelming amount of love and support I have received and am working on responding to everyone as quickly as possible! In the meantime, I have so many people to thank for joining me on this journey.”

White also won a $1,500 STEM scholarship and a $600 Choreographer’s Scholarship for outstanding achievement in dance. The organization awarded $80,000 in scholarships with each of the 23 candidates received at least $1,500 in scholarship money.

 

 

Also at the finale, Emily Spencer, Miss Greater Nashua was adjudged as the first runner up and was awarded a $7,000 scholarship. Congratulations to the newly crowned queen.
