The grand coronation night that held on 18th November 2018 was a big day for the young gorgeous beauty Ava Tortorici as she was crowned Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2019. The beauty was handed over the crown by Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2018 Diana Smerina at the conclusion. Along with the title, she took over the duties and advocacies associated with the title.
This young gorgeous beauty is 18 year of age is pursuing a degree in medicine with a double major in biology and exercise science at Montclair State University. She entered the 2019 Miss New Jersey Teen USA pageant after finishing twice as a semi-finalist. She did not give up, and on her third try, she fulfilled her lifelong dream of winning the title. To prepare for the pageant she spent time focusing on her goal and how to convey her personality, accomplishments and passions to the judges.
The diva is a member of the coed cheer team, Sigma Alpha Lambda and Delta Phi Epsilon sorority. Ava's entrepreneurial spirit led her to be awarded a provisional patent from the US Patent and Trademark Office for one of her inventions.
Ava is a cheerleader at her university and an avid golfer. In 2015, she had a near-death experience following a severe asthma attack. It was a life-changing experience for her and after recovering, she vowed to live each day to its fullest. She went on to found ‘Athletes with Asthma’ at her University, a non-profit organization that raises awareness of the dangers of asthma in athletes. Besides this, she is also a Science Scholar and an award-winning speaker. She donates her time to many charities such as Catholic Athletes for Christ, CentraState Hospital, CancerCare, Relay for Life, NJ AIDS Walk, the Jersey Shore’s Clean Ocean Action, and of course Athletes with Asthma.

Ava is a simple and sweet fun-loving girl who enjoys playing golf at Top Golf and spending quality time with her friends and family. With her achievements and charity work, she will be able to have a sturdy foothold in the pageant.
