The grand finale of Miss North Carolina USA 2019 was held on 20th October 2018 and the conclusion of the event saw the crowning of Cheslie Kryst as the new winner. She has now earned the right to represent her state in Miss USA 2019 to be held next year. If Cheslie manages to win the national competition, she will be able to represent the United States in Miss Universe 2019.

Cheslie received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the Honours College at the University of South Carolina and was also a Division I athlete. She is 27 years of age and is a graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Law and Graduate School of Business from where she earned her Juris Doctor degree as well as a Master of Business Administration degree.

Cheslie was no stranger to the pageant that she won this year as this was her third attempt to win the Miss North Carolina USA crown. During her free time, Cheslie likes to play the piano, go hiking, run 5Ks and walk in fashion shows. She was also recently accepted into Leadership Charlotte, Class 40, and is an active Dress for Success Charlotte volunteer. Cheslie is a very strong and dedicated contestant who has a chance to make it big.

The finale of Miss North Carolina USA 2019 also saw the crowning of Miss Teen North Carolina USA 2019 Eliza Minor who will be representing North Carolina in Miss Teen USA 2019 to be held the same day as Miss USA 2019.
