Miss North Ontario 2019, official regional preliminary to Miss Universe Canada 2019, was held on 11th May 2019 at Sudbury Secondary where Valérie Demers was crowned the new queen and became the official delegate of Miss Universe Canada 2019. Also present at the event were Katelynne Lawrence Miss Teen Canada and Hanna Begovic Miss World Canada 2018. Forty two ladies competed for the regional title.
From Timmins, Valérie Demers did her schooling from École secondaire catholique Thériault. Holding the regional crown, Valérie will have to prove her worth in nationals by performing with sincerity and dedication.

She thanked her fans and showed gratitude in a post captioned, “Good morning everyone! I woke up this morning with a huge smile on my face and realized that it is not just a dream, I was crowned Miss North Ontario 2019! Words cannot describe how happy, humbled and excited i am for this coming year!I would like to thank everyone who has supported me in many ways, and most of all, the MNO team, Cheryl Kozera and delegates for being on this journey with me. Thank you for recognizing my inner beauty and making me feel so blessed.”

Cheryl Kozera, the producer of Miss North Ontario pageant was also thanked for her guidance and support to the contestants during the competition. The national finals will be held soon as soon as the regional pageants will finish crowning their delegates.
