Miss Universe Vietnam Organization just recently appointed its representative to represent Vietnam in Miss Universe 2019 and it’s none other than Hoang Thuy! Having received the most support from the pageant’s fans to be Vietnam’s delegate in Miss Universe, Hoang Thuy has definitely proved her worth as a candidate.
Having predicted this already a few months ago, Angelopedia was sure of her dedication and sincerity towards her craft. Not new to the pageantry, Hoang participated in Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 and was adjudged the first runner-up. Hoang will be 27 this year which is the maximum age to participate in Miss Universe pageant making it her first and the last try to win the coveted crown for her country.
Born and raised in a family of four daughters in Thanh Hoa province, Vietnam, Hoang used to sell rice cakes on buses to help her family. Despite financial struggles, her family continued to support their daughters to continue their education. Hoang drew inspiration from her father who motivated her to pursue the industrial design field at Architecture University.
The biggest turning point in her career was when she became the winner of Vietnam Next Top Model. In 2016, she enrolled in the fashion design course at Central Saint Martins in London. Never losing hope, she had the greatest time of her life working in London, Milan, Paris, and New York fashion week.
Not only is she a known face in the Fashion and Modeling industry, she also volunteers in activities for community, such as being the environment ambassador of “I choose green living” program to promote environment protection and giving houses and scholarships for poor people in Long An.
