In an announcement that came on 31st January 2018, Miss Paraguay organization opened the registrations for the beauties of the 17 departments and Paraguayan residents in any country in the world to participate in the national pageant.
Miss Paraguay pageant or The Reinas de Belleza del Paraguay selects its queen who represents the beautiful country in the four major international pageants.
Miss Paraguay 2018 is slated to happen on 14th August 2018 at the Theatre of the Guaraní Hotel located in the Historic Centre of the city, Asunción. At the end of the event finale, Miss Paraguay 2017 Ariela Machado will crown her successor.
The official pageant of Miss Paraguay 2018 will be in tribute to the National Flag Day, the 48th anniversary of the foundation of The City of Asunción. It will also be in homage to the day of the patron of the Paraguayan nation, the Paraguayan army and The Takeover of the new authorities of the Republic of Paraguay.
