Camila Escribens comes back to compete for Miss Peru 2021

Miss Peru 2021 will be the 69th edition of the Miss Peru pageant, to be held in Lima, Peru in November 2021, where the reigning Miss Universe Peru 2020 Janick Maceta will crown her successor at the end of the event. The winner will represent Peru at the upcoming Miss Universe 2021 pageant to be held in Eilat, Israel, this December.

One of the recent divas to enter the Miss Peru competition this year is none other than the gorgeous and stunning, former Miss Grand Peru 2019, Camila Escribens. Miss Peru Organization had appointed Camila Escribens as the Miss Supranational Peru 2020 but the organization announced her withdrawal from Miss Supranational 2021 due to her health problems and advice from her doctors.

The 23 year-old Peruvian-American model, Camila began her pageant journey as she was adjudged the first runner-up at Miss Peru 2019. Earning the title of Miss Grand Peru 2019, Camila represented her country at Miss Grand International 2019 where she placed in the Top 10 with her exemplary performance. She is currently signed as a professional model under the Elite Model Management agency in Miami.

Camila’s comeback is being considered as one of the strongest delegacies this year. Interestingly for the past two years, Miss Peru title has been won by comeback contestants. In 2019, Keli´n Rivera Kroll came back after having competed at both Miss Peru 2013 & 2018, won the main crown and placed top 10 at Miss Universe 2019. In 2020, Janick Maceta came back after having competed in both Miss Peru 2016 & 2019, won the main crown and placed 2nd runner-up at Miss Universe 2020.

Escribens definitely has some big shoes to fill in but she is also one of the strongest Peruvian beauty queens. She is confident, stunning and an ideal contender to represent and make Peru proud at the 70th Miss Universe pageant. For now, the organization has opened up voting lines for the delegates, as the 10 chosen candidates will be able to have an interview with our current queen, Janick Maceta.
