The director of Miss Peru, Jessica Newton recently announced that the organization will crown Miss Peru 2020 Janick Maceta’s successor in the first half of 2021. The successor will represent Peru at Miss Universe 2021.
Solange Hermoza Rivera is one of the names that has created a lot of buzz around for the title of Miss Peru 2021. She seems like a potential candidate to represent Peru at Miss Universe 2021. Hailing from the city of Liberation, Solange is 25-years-old and stands 178 cm tall. She has a bachelor’s degree in business engineering and advance degree in English. She currently works as an actress and model.
Solange is not new to the pageantry as she started working as a model when she was 17-years-old. Recently she was adjudged as the first runner-up at Miss Peru 2020 where she was one of the favorites for the title. She was also Miss Teen La Libertad 2013 and represented the region in Guatemala at Miss Teenager Universe 2014 where she was placed as the fourth finalist at the end of event finale. She started performing arts at the age of 4 and moved to Lima in 2018 to prepare as an actress, she took workshops at Stefano Toso's school, where Anahí de Cárdenas was her teacher in the “introduction to acting” workshop, then she trained at Imaginario Colectivo, where she led Theater workshops with Gabriela Gallegos and Improvisation with Dusan Fung.
The red-headed beauty has a lot of experience in the world of beauty pageants as she has worked with various designers and photographers and since she is working as an actress and taken up a lot of acting workshops, she is comfortable in front of the camera and posing.
Solange is the founder of Arte Al Rescate, a social project that seeks to promote art as a tool to help people in their personal growth, strengthen their skills, and to help those most in need. She likes to travel and chat with people about their culture, values, and traditions as she believes that knowing about different culture and tradition helps one to understand the world and society from a different perspective. She likes to spend her free time in nature and with her family and friends as she feels immense amount of gratitude towards them for their constant support and motivation.
