Jihane Almira Chedid was crowned Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2020 (Miss Supranational Indonesia 2020) on 6th March 2020 at Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia. She is the first delegate from Central Java to win the title and is now preparing to represent Indonesia at Miss Supranational 2020. She is one of the strongest contenders for the title as well.
Recently she was live with Alvin Sebetero where the two spoke about Jihane’s journey towards winning Miss Supranational 2020 for Indonesia. Jihane is 21-years-old and stands 175 cm tall and holds a bachelor degree in Science in Information Technology from PGRI Semarang University and is continuing her study in Graphic Designing from Bina Nusantara University – Jakarta. Jihane’s father is Lebanese and mother belongs to the Indonesian race which makes the diva biracial and she is proud that she was born and raised in Central Java, Indonesia. She is an actress, fashion model, and an Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly Ambassador.
Jihane's career started when she was 11 years old, following the cover of Aneka magazine. It was only in 2014, this beautiful girl's career was wide open, she was chosen as a finalist in Cover Girl 2014. A year later, Jihane Almira's performance attracted attention, so she entered the Top 15 Guess Girl Search South East Asia and the Top 10 Nylon Face Off 2016. Moreover, now she chose to move to Jakarta some time ago from Semarang.
During the live, the diva mentioned that acting makes her understand herself further and within which is one of the reasons she loves acting. Jihane shared that she joined Puteri Indonesia 2020 was because she saw an opportunity which could help her make her country proud and make the best use of the opportunity given to her to fulfill her dream. She thanked the organization and the everyone who supported her throughout the competition which gave her a chance to represent her country at international stage.
Sharing about her preparation, Jihane stated that even though she was a part of modeling and acting world she understood that in the beauty pageant world one must be neutral and sound very wise and mature and that’s something she worked on. Alvin shared with Jihane that when she joined Puteri Indonesia 2020, she became one of the favorites for the title and after winning Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2020 title, she is one of the favorites for Miss Supranational 2020 title to which the diva mentioned that initially she couldn’t understand the leaderboards but eventually understood that people are putting hopes on her and she felt that is something that kept her going and motivated to her perform her best on-stage and make everyone proud.
The diva further mentioned that she aspires to improving her personal growth as she believes that if one starts to understand oneself better that’s when you get to generate the best qualities you have. She would like to boost her personal growth and help women across the world to understand the importance of having an opportunity. She urged everyone to fight for their goals and dreams and choose wisely which opportunity to grab onto.
Jihane was asked, “Why should you be the next Miss Supranational? To which she answered, “Everyone deserves to win the crown. However, I see the resemblance of Miss Supranational tagline or what they are looking in me; natural, approachable, cooperative, and all the other aspects. Besides that, the movement I make and the inspiration and values I have as a person, I really wish with the platform of Miss Supranational, I get to have the privilege to share the life process I have with everybody.” She lastly mentioned that she is grateful and honored to have a title that helps her to inspire everyone.
