In an unfortunate change of events, it was revealed by the director of Miss Perú Organization Jessica Newton that Miss Perú Ica 2020 Konnie Vidaurre has resigned from the national competition. She will not be participating in Miss Perú 2020 and with that losing her chance to represent Peru in Miss Universe 2020.

Apparently, Konnie Vidaurre was involved in a series of unfortunate videos, which compromised her image and apparently resigned for that reason. Konnie will formally communicate her departure through a letter.

Along with her, Diandra Palomino has also resigned from the competition as per the stories by the director. She resigned after her tiktok videos came to light as these videos do not meet the standards that they handle within the national organization.

Even though it was an unfortunate incident, Konnie was applauded for taking responsibility all over the social media. Konnie Vidaurre is not new to the pageant world as she was a part of Miss Teen Peru 2012 and a few regional pageants as well. A stunning beauty, Konnie has the looks and the brains to represent Peru at an international platform.

Miss Peru 2020 will host its national edition soon where twenty-eight delegates will compete for the national crown and an opportunity to represent Peru in Miss Universe 2020. Miss Peru Universe 2019 Kelin Rivera Kroll will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
