At the grand finale of Miss Philippines Earth 2017 held on June 15’ 2017, Karen Ibasco was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2017. A college instructor by profession, Karen will now represent Philippines at the Miss Earth 2017 pageant.
The esteemed Judges for the event were: Bang Nanalao, Ditta Sandico, Sari Yap, H.E. Ambassador Effie Ben Matityau, Tim Yap, H.E. Ambassador Rolando A. Guevara Alvarado, Sanith Wijieyeratne, Jeffrey De La PAZ, and Lorraine E. Schuck.
Karen’s court included:
Nellza Mortola Bautista was crowned as Miss Philippines Fire 2017
Kim De Guzman was crowned as Miss Philippines Air 2017
Vanessa Mae Castillo was crowned as Miss Philippines Eco Tourism 2017
Jessica Marasigan was crowned as Miss Philippines Water 2017
Miss Earth Air 2016, Michelle Gomez and Miss Earth 2016, Katherine Espin were also present to encourage the contestants at the finals.
Miss Philippines earth 2017 is not just about the beauty, it’s about the grace, and this year it was all about transparency. The finale of Miss Philippines Earth 2017 started with the stunning contestants gracing the stage with their unmatched style. The beauties looked gorgeous as they walked the stage donning wonderful dresses. After the introduction, it was time to announce the sponsored special awards. After the Special Awards, the Top 10 finalists for the night were announced.
The Top 10 then sizzled the ramp in the swimsuit round. After the swimwear Preliminary Competition, it was time for the Q&A round which was based on interesting Hashtags. After scratching brains through the Q&A session, the girls went through the Evening Gown competition; and based on their overall performance the Top 5 were announced -

The Top 5 finalists then went ahead to compete through a Final Question and Answer round. The panel of jury placed their verdict after hearing the delegates in the Q&A round, and Karen Ibasco was crowned as the winner.
