Miss Philippines Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco insists to embrace Renewable and sustainable energy to combat global warming.

Miss Philippines Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco has a message for those who remain skeptical about global warming, including U.S. President Donald Trump, who once dubbed it as a hoax. 

Speaking on a famous show, "Tonight with Boy Abunda" on Thursday, Karen Ibasco, who is a physicist also and has recently won Miss Philippines Earth 2017 Pageant said: "We just want to tell him that, if it's not happening in front of you, it doesn't mean it's not happening around the world --because it is." The motive of speaking these words were to make US President Donald Trump hear.

The beauty queen added: "You can truly see it around you. The data are real and they're not fake. The Earth is warming, the ice is melting, the sea level is rising." It seems as if Ibasco is keen to bring change for the nation and improve the current condition.

Long before becoming U.S. president, Trump tweeted that global warming is an "expensive hoax" and a concept "created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive." President Donald Trump’s stance and policies on climate change were also opposed by a majority of Americans then.

He has since refrained from making such comments, even when he announced his decision on the Paris Accord, describing himself as "someone who cares deeply about the environment."

Miss Philippines Earth 2017, Karen Ibasco is currently working on to improve the current climatic situation of the world. She is trying to influence others with her words so that she can achieve the main motive of being Miss Philippines Earth and a physicist.
