The first grand virtual coronation for Miss Earth Philippines 2020 was conducted few hours ago where Roxanne Allison Baeyens from the city of Baguio was crowned Miss Earth Philippines 2020. The coronation ceremony was telecasted on GMA Network. The winner will represent the Philippines at Miss Earth 2020. Roxanne Allison Baeyens succeeded Miss Earth Philippines 2019 Janelle Lazo Tee as the new queen. The 33 delegates from all over the country performed exceptionally well and impressed all the judges and fans across the world with their witty answers, talent, and skills.
Roxanne Allison Baeyens is 23-years-old and stands 170cm tall with a degree in Tourism form St. Louis University. She works as a model and an endorser. Since the beginning of the competition, this beautiful looking diva was considered as one of the strongest contenders for the title and her hard work and focus was recognized by not only the judges but by the audience too.

Roxie is not new to the pageantry as she has participated at Miss Tourism and Culture Universe 2019 where she was placed as the first runner-up. She had also participated at Miss Mandaluyong 2019 where she was placed as the fourth runner-up. She is strong, confident, and very determined towards her goals and this is one of the reasons why she is the next representative of the Philippines at Miss Earth 2020. The diva also won the awards for Beach Wear competition and Hana Beauty during the pre-pageant activities.
Roxie’s advocacy is urban gardening because she feels that the cities are no longer green and we as individuals must start making decision in according to the environment. She is inspired by her mother who is an environmentalist and wanted to continue her legacy as the family strongly believes in making a change in the society.

Miss Philippines Earth aims to give a strong emphasis on environmental awareness programs and the delegates actively promote and get involved in the preservation of the environment and protection of Mother Earth.
The coronation ceremony was conducted via the Zoom meeting platform, where delegates performed exceptionally well from their own respective locations. They were judged by Miss Earth 2005 Alexandra Barun; Joise Mari Abacan; vice president for Program management, GMA Network, Miss Earth 2010 Nicole Faria, Carlos Bacani; Marketing director of peerless products, makers of Hana Shampoo, Former beauty queen Buzanne Gonalez Gommer, and Matthias Geleber; eco-speaker and an advocate for environmental management and corporate social responsibility.
Congratulations to the newly crowned queens! This was the first time that Miss Earth Philippines was conducted on a virtual platform.
