Lidy Alves crowned Miss World Portugal 2021

Miss Portuguesa 2021, the 2021 edition of the national pageant, held the finale on 11th September 2021 at the mythical Casino Estoril where Lidy Alves was crowned Miss Portuguesa 2021/ Miss World Portugal 2021. Lidy will now represent Portugal at Miss World 2021 as she succeeds Miss Portuguesa 2019 Ines Brusselmans.

Lidy Alves represented Portuguese community in France at the national contest. Lidy was born in Montalegre, Portugal.

From Montalegre, she moved to Paris, France. Alves speaks Portuguese, French and Spanish. In 2019,she was crowned Miss Portuguesa França 2019 at Les Pyramides in e Port-Marly, France as she became the delegate of Miss Portuguesa 2021 and won the competition.

The 25-year-old Lidy took to her official social media to reveal her emotions on being crowned Miss World Portugal 2021 as she wrote, "I still don't have words to describe what I feel! A mix of happiness, gratitude and honor. I have just been elected Miss Portuguese 2021! I want to heartily thank all my family and friends but above all my Mother, sister and brother who always supported me and helped me to achieve my dream, without forgetting my star that shines in the sky and that I am sure was present that night by my side... FATHER."

Thank you for organizing Miss Portuguesa and the entire team that was present with us during this adventure, by the vote of confidence, I will do more than my best to represent our Portugal. Road to Miss World", she added.

Along with Lidy Alves, Oricia Dominguez Dos Santos, from the Portuguese community in Spain, was crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2021 as she became the official representative of her country at Miss Universe 2021. Ana Ferreira , from Guarda was crowned Miss Grand Portugal 2021 as she became the official representative of her country at Miss Grand International 2021.

 

 

Also, Rita Reis from Lisbon was adjudged first runner-up as she was crowned Miss International Portugal 2021 while Ana Teixeira from Gondomar was adjudged second runner-up as she was crowned Miss Supranational Portugal 2021. Both these beauties will represent Portugal at the upcoming edition of Miss International and Miss Supranational respectively.

In 2019, Inês Brusselmans represented Portugal at Miss World 2019 and with her stellar performance, she placed in the Top 40. Portugal is yet to pioneer its win in Miss World. Congratulations to all the winners.
