Miss Portuguesa 2021, the 2021 edition of the national pageant, held the finale on 11th September 2021 at the mythical Casino Estoril where Oricia Dominguez Dos Santos was crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2021. Oricia will now represent Portugal at Miss Universe 2021 as she succeeds Miss Universe Portugal 2020 Cristiana Silva.
Oricia represented the Portuguese community in Spain at the national competition. The stunning beauty queen is a model and a fashion stylist who was born and raised in Venezuela. Oricia is of Portuguese and Spanish descent. She attended the Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas, Venezuela and she underwent a leadership training at the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración (IESA) in Caracas. In 2017, she studied marketing at the Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas. From 2017 to 2018, she attended MVL Consultores in Caracas where she earned her certification in organizational coaching. In 2018, she studied finance for non-financial executives at IESA and was accredited to use the Competencias Económicas para la Formación de Emprendedores (CEFE) methodology. From 2020 to 2021, she studied entrepreneurship at the Universidad de Deusto in Bilbao, Spain.
Not new to the pageantry, Oricia represented Tachira and competed against 23 other candidates at Miss Venezuela 2018 in Caracas where she placed as the second runner-up. In 2020, she represented Guadalajara at Miss World Spain 2020 in Oropesa del Mar, Castellón, Valencia Region, Spain. She was unplaced by finished in the Top 5 in the Beauty with a Purpose challege.
Along with Oricia, Lidy Alves was crowned Miss World Portugal 2021 as she became the official representative of Portugal at Miss World 2021. Ana Ferreira , from Guarda was crowned Miss Grand Portugal 2021 as she became the official representative of her country at Miss Grand International 2021.
Also, Rita Reis from Lisbon was adjudged first runner-up as she was crowned Miss International Portugal 2021 while Ana Teixeira from Gondomar was adjudged second runner-up as she was crowned Miss Supranational Portugal 2021. Both these beauties will represent Portugal at the upcoming edition of Miss International and Miss Supranational respectively.
Miss Universe Portugal 2020 Cristiana Silva represented Portugal at Miss Universe 2020 but unfortunately remained unplaced. Portugal is yet to pioneer its win at Miss Universe.
