The venue of the Miss Progress International 2016 has been announced, and it will be held in Paraguay. The reigning Miss Progress International, Liz Arevalos, is from Paraguay. At the conclusion of the Miss Progress International 2016, Liz will crown her successor and will pass on her reign and her duties.
21 years old Liz, hailing from Paraguay, is a medical student. Liz’s project at Miss Progress International 2015 aimed at opening friendly counselling to sensitize teenagers and prevent the phenomenon of unwanted pregnancies and various other sexual diseases. The Paraguayan beauty also won a grant equal to the 20% of the total cost of her project.

“My project is about improving health care, and prevent early pregnancies for the adolescents in situations of risk. It’s a problem that in recent years got alarmed in my country. My mission is to improve the care and to provide greater knowledge and help to avoid this situation.” explained Liz in an exclusive interview with Angelopedia.
Liz furhter taked about her country and its beauty and explained, “Paraguay is an amazing country steeped in history, with a natural vocation for the tourism. The warmth of the Paraguayan people and its ongoing work will let them achieve their goals.”
Miss Progress International is the only pageant in the world which is dedicated to Environment, Health, Human Rights and Cultural Integration. The 2016 pageant will be held in June and the contest will commence from June 15 and will continue till June 25’ 2016. The grand gala finale event will be held next to the Iguazu Falls and the auspicious “Bridge of friendship”. Also, for the first time, the Miss Progress International pageant will organise an event that will include the contestants visit to three countries – Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil.
