The cultural association In Progress has announced that the eighth edition of Miss Progress International-Women for Progress, which was supposed to be held this spring, has been postponed to early autumn.

The news comes in the continuation of the restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic that still holds the whole world in suspense. It has also forced the Apulian non-profit organization to this new postponement.

"Two years of waiting are really a long time and we can't wait to introduce our territory to the new competitors who, we are sure, will bring us projects worthy of everyone's attention once again. and they will spread the beauties of Puglia through their followers”, says Giusy Nobile, President of In Progress.

Meanwhile, Vanesa Giraldo Lopez, winner of the 2019 edition, has resumed working for ‘Almagua’, the project in support of the Yagua tribe living in the Colombian Amazon that allowed her to win the title.

Delegations from five continents will land at Brindisi airport on 24th September 2021 and will stay in the Heel of Italy until 3rd October 2021. During their stay they will be involved in many activities that will allow them to know Puglia, for the second time mentioned by National Geographic as the most beautiful region in the world. The list of locations that will be included in the guided tours will be announced before the summer.
