Miss Grand International 2020 Top 15: Tania René from Mauritius

The 8th edition of Miss Grand International, i.e., Miss Grand International 2020, is all set to be held on 27th March 2021 in Bangkok, Thailand where stunning beauties from all over the globe will compete for the international crown. Miss Grand International 2019 Valentina Figuera will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

While this year’s batch boasts of stunning and talented beauties, there are a few ladies who have stood out amongst the rest and show the immense capability to be the winner of the 2020 edition. Tania René from Mauritius was announced as the new Miss Grand Mauritius 2020 on 22nd January 2021 and has made it to our top favourite delegates. She succeeded Miss Grand Mauritius 2019 Shanone Savatheama for the title. She is 23-years-old and stands 176 cm tall and is currently working as a media and communication consultant and fashion model. She aspires to work in the film production industry as a producer hoping to create inspiring content in future.

The diva chose the path of pageantry so that she can represent her country and her work as a beauty queen who is always ready to help people, support them and be involved in campaigns and activities that will be bring a positive contribution to the society. The beauty queen is not new to the world of pageantry as she represented Mauritius at Miss Intercontinental 2019 where she was placed at top 20 at the end of the event finale. She later represented the country at Top Model of The World 2019 where she was adjudged as the first runner-up. Tania has expressed that she is grateful to represent Mauritius at Miss Grand International 2020. She wants to use the platform to raise awareness about mental health, environment, and along with doing something for the animals. She believes that beauty pageants are a great platform to create awareness and opportunities for the women across the world who wants to make a significant change in the world.

Tania mentioned that even though she was not able to win the Miss Intercontinental 2019 title, she is extremely proud of herself. “I didn't win a title, but I'm extremely proud, because the biggest reward was seeing the pride on my parents' faces,” she mentioned. She has always wanted to represent her country on the international scene and be an inspiration to others. She further added, “The title and the platform allow me to influence people in a positive way and to sensitize them on certain subjects. Modelling and beauty pageants have helped me develop my character and step out of my comfort zone. With such experience, confidence, and positive attitude, Tania has managed to impress everyone with her performance throughout the quarantine activities organized by Miss Grand International organization. She is one of the favourites for the Miss Grand International 2020 title.
