Francesca Speranza of Italy crowned Miss Progress International 2022

Miss Progress International 2022, 8th edition of the international pageant, was held on 17th September 2022 at Messapia Hotel and Resort, Santa Maria di Leuca, Italy. At the end of the event finale, Francesca Speranza of Italy was crowned the new queen. Italy debuted its win in this edition.

Francesca Speranza is 26 years of age and hails from Caserta. She won advocating a self-sustainable project. During her reign, she will be planting fruit trees and realizing the concept of urban agriculture.

With a degree in law, Francesca Speranza is a trainee in a law firm and soon to specialize in international law. Fluent in English and Spanish, Francesca beat off competition from nineteen other young contestants from five continents.

The winner will also receive financial support from the cultural association In Progress, chaired by Giusy Nobile, to launch her project. Francesca Speranza's project was the best on the theme of the Environment, and since her text achieved the highest score overall and she won the most coveted title.

Also at the end of the event finale, Andrea Pineda from Colombia won the competition for the Health theme and for best traditional costume, Beatriz Awatin of Philippines won the one for Human Rights plus the special prize for the most popular on the web, and Puerto Rican Gabriela Monserrate got the award for Cultural Integration.

Guest of honour of the show was the predecessor Vanesa Giraldo Lopez, who crowned her successor at the end of the event finale. The competition promoted projects dedicated to Environment, Health and Human rights. The pageant was presented by the pageant director Giuseppe Borrillo and live streamed worldwide.
